Sandy Werneck was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. She grew up in a Brazilian church where her mother lead worship and had a group called “Ágape”. “I remember me and my sister singing with my moms group when we weren’t even tall enough to reach the mic on the mic stands” says Sandy. She has a family of musicians and this has influenced her very much on her love for music, “When my mom was younger, she recorded an album and toured Brazil with her group, this started becoming my dream.” While others grew up listening to Michael Jackson, Sandy surrounded herself with worship music from worship artists such as Ron Kenoly, Darlene Zschech, Amy Grant, etc. In 2001, Sandy moved to Orlando, Florida with her family where they started attending a Brazilian church called Harvest Ministries. “God has opened so many doors for me and my family since we’ve moved down here.” Sandy had the privilege to record an album with her home church in 2006. Around that same year, she had the honor of meeting and working with Ron Kenoly, an internationally known worship leader. “For me it was a dream come true to be able to meet Ron Kenoly and his family, they have been such a blessing in my life, I am so honored and grateful to know such an amazing and inspirational worship leader.” Sandy’s passion for worship music has grown drastically the past few years. “Every song I write is inspired by every situation I go through. I want people to be able to connect with my songs and know that they are not alone. I want to be an inspiration to this generation.” Sandy believes that God has called her to “stand out of the crowd”. “I’ve learned that Gods plans are so much greater than our own! He always knows what’s best for us!” Sandy is looking forward to what God has in store for her and she is excited for all the new things happening still this year.

“We can make our plans, but the Lord directs our steps.”
